How can I keep myself informed about new rehabilitative treatment options, such as robotic devices, split treadmills, etc.?

There are many new and exciting treatment options that are coming out for rehabilitation after stroke. Many of these are in the research phase and may not be widely available in the clinical setting yet. Your physiatrist may also be a good source of information.

An interested patient may go on the website to http://www.clinicaltrials.gov and explore the trials that might be going on near them. Another source is the NIH website http://projectreporter.nih.gov/reporter.cfm, where one can search for studies funded by the NIH.
